Minority Serving Institutions Intern Program

TSC has been contracted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to assist in recruiting for their MSI Program. The MSI Internship Program is open to all eligible undergraduate and graduate college students from all types of cultural backgrounds. An important focus of the program is providing opportunities to eligible students from groups that have been underrepresented in Aviation, Aeronautics and STEM such as: African-Americans, Asian Americans and other Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, Native Americans, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, Persons with Disabilities, Student Veterans, and Women.

We are currently sponsoring three intern cycles. The Summer cycle is a ten-week program that spans from June to August.  The Fall and Spring cycles are twelve weeks. The Fall intern cycle generally starts from September to December and the Spring intern cycle runs from January to April.

Intern Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution

  • 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

  • Completed one year of college credits (i.e., minimum of 2nd year standing for undergraduates at the time of application)

  • Be involved!

o    Community Service

o    School Activities

o    Military Experience

o    Employment Experience (considered but not required)
